A broken down lorry on the A14 eastbound in the Copdock area caused traffic delays this morning.
The vehicle broke down at around 9am between the Copdock Interchange (junction 55) and Wherstead (junction 56) on the eastbound carriage.
Police said the lorry was quickly moved off the carriageway and onto a slip road, but was still causing an obstruction to motorists.
The incident took place on the day when thousands of people were travelling to the Suffolk Show.
The lorry, which suffered a gear box problem, had been removed from the scene at 10.30am. There are still reports of delays in the area, with vehicles travelling between 10mph and 15mp on average between the two junctions, according to the AA.
