An Ipswich charity shop has opened a new school prom section - offering big name brands that won’t break the bank of mum of dad.
The donated clothing is on now sale at East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) Felixstowe Road shop.
Rechenda Smith, EACH shop manager, said the shop was ‘preparing for prom season with gusto’.
She said: “As our shop is so close to several schools, including Copleston High School, Ipswich Academy, Kesgrave High School and Northgate High School, and with names in our range such as Julien MacDonald and Coast, many of our customers may want to pop in and have a look. The idea was the brainchild of volunteer Jooles Pearson, who has a child at Copleston High School and has been hoarding any donated dresses for the last few months.”
EACH currently supports 222 children, young people and family members in Suffolk and more than 800 across the region.
