A 13-year-old boy who was arrested over reports pieces of wood were being thrown onto the A14 close to the Copdock Interchange in March has been charged.
The teenager, from Ipswich, will appear in a youth court next month accused of causing a danger to road users after the alleged incident on Saturday, March 11.
Several members of the public who were travelling along the eastbound carriageway near the Copdock Interchange that afternoon raised the alarm.
They called police after allegedly seeing objects – described as pieces of wood – being thrown onto the A14.
Police received the reports between 12.20pm and 12.50pm that day and the 13-year-old was arrested shortly afterwards at around 12.55pm.
The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, has been bailed to appear at Ipswich Youth Court on Thursday, June 1.
