It’s time to look back at a popular event that is brought up on our Ipswich Remembers Facebook page on a regular basis - the Piggywink Disco.
The Piggywink Disco at the Corn Exchange in Ipswich was popular in the 1980s, and would run on Saturday mornings.
A Fireball disco would also be held at the Corn Exchange on Thursdays nights.
Memories of doing dances such as ‘rock the boat’ and the Hucklebuck are often brought up on the Ipswich Remembers Facebook group where many reminisce about the discos.
Can you spot yourself or a friend in any of these photos?
Email us to share your memories and photographs from the Piggywink Disco.
Our Ipswich Remembers Facebook group now has 11,000 members and counting.
Using the search bar at the top of the page, you can look up previous Piggywink Disco posts, and you might even come across some old faces in the process.
