A drug-driver has been banned from the road after being caught with derivatives of cannabis and cocaine in his system.
Ashley Morrison, of Fiddlers Close, East Bergholt admitted two offences of drug-driving when he appeared before Ipswich magistrates.
The 34-year-old committed the offences on February 2.
Prosecutor Colette Harper said police stopped Morrison’s black Peugeot 206 in the area of Paul’s Road and Ranelagh Road in Ipswich as they believed the vehicle did not have an MoT.
An officer stated Morrison’s pupils were like pin pricks and there was a smell of cannabis coming from the car.
A blood test showed he had nearly five times the limit for a derivative of cocaine in his system and three times the limit for a derivative of cannabis.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £140. Morrison must also pay £95 costs and £30 to the victims’ fund.
