A 26-year-old Ipswich man accused of possessing an imitation firearm following an alleged incident in the town’s Chantry estate is to stand trial in August.
Lee Nazeer, of Chesterton Close, pleaded not guilty at a plea and trial preparation hearing to possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence on February 26 this year.
The plea was made at Ipswich Crown Court today via a prison video link.
The court heard that the imitation firearm was allegedly a replica of a handgun.
Nazeer’s trial is expected to get underway at Ipswich Crown Court on August 21.
He was remanded in custody.
