A peeping Tom has been banned from Ipswich after being caught in the act for a second time and breaching his sexual harm prevention order.
Victor Tucker, formerly of Wallace Road, Ipswich, who was jailed for four years in 2013 for burglary and voyeurism, appeared before the town’s magistrates after previously pleading guilty to breaching his order on February 2.
The 50-year-old committed the offence in a road off Bramford Lane.
Prosecutor Wayne Ablett said a police constable went into an alleyway at 6.40pm and saw a bicycle against a fence.
He observed Tucker, who was wearing dark clothing, standing in a back garden of a property.
The back of the premises was illuminated and the bathroom was in use. Tucker had a mobile phone in his hand with the light on it.
After a few minutes he left, got on the bike and departed.
A woman had been in the bathroom. Her partner had previously used the shower and when he finished she had a bath, the court heard.
Mr Ablett said the purpose of the original order issued in June 2013 was to protect women.
He told magistrates: “Yet, here we have him in the rear garden whilst she was having a bath.”
There was no camera on the phone Tucker used so he had not recorded any moving images.
Tucker’s imprisonment in June 2013 came after police found 141 images and video clips of women taken on 31 different days.
The total number of women in the clips was not known.
They had been taken through bathroom windows, letter boxes, and other windows.
Tucker was caught after he broke into a house in Oxford Road, Ipswich, in May 2013.
Dino Barricella, representing Tucker – who is now living at a hostel in Luton, said the breach of the order needed to be kept in perspective as it was the first time it had been contravened.
Mr Barricella said: “Because of his licence he is prohibited from Ipswich.
“He’s now going to be subject to a very comprehensive order.
“He’s lost an awful lot and he can’t come back to the town where he wishes to live.”
Tucker was made the subject of a three–year community order and must undertake a sexual offences treatment programme.
He must also pay £400 costs and £85 to the victims’ fund.
