A dog walker was punched and kicked while walking alongside the River Gipping in Ipswich.
At around 6.30am on Friday November 18, the 40-year-old man was walking along a path, off London Road, when he was approached by another man.
He asked him what breed of dog the victim had before punching and kicking him.
The victim was left with a lump to his forehead but the dog was uninjured.
The suspect is described as a white man, in his late 20s to 30s and of slim build.
He was wearing black boots and carrying a Bluetooth speaker.
Anyone with information about the assault is asked to contact the Ipswich Neighbourhood Response Team on 101, quoting reference 66889/16.
