Pigs Gone Wild is the event our readers enjoyed the most in Ipswich this summer, according to an online poll.
We asked you to cast a vote for your favourite activities that have taken place in the town over the past two months.
The interactive piggy trail, organised by St Elizabeth Hospice, topped the results with 82.5% of 57 readers giving it the tick of approval.
Norman Lloyd, project manager, said: “We are happier than a pig in mud that the public have voted Pigs Gone Wild the top event of the summer.
“We have had such positive feedback and some really lovely and heartwarming comments from people who followed the trail and have enjoyed having the pigs as part of their daily life this summer, and to have people vote it the best event really is the icing on the cake.
“Thank you to everyone who voted and supported the trail in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice, helping make it the huge success that it has been. It means to the world to everyone at the hospice, including our patients and families.”
Coming in second place was the inaugural Waterfront Celebration, which will now be held in alternate years with the Ipswich Maritime Festival.
More than 35% of readers who responded to our poll chose the new event as their pick of the summer.
We also asked you what your favourite summer event venue was this year.
Holywells Park, which was unveiled last July after a multi-million-pound revamp, came out on top being selected by 28.3% of 53 people.
Around 10,000 people enjoyed the free family fun days at the park throughout the summer holidays.
Trailing not too far behind were Ipswich town centre and Ipswich Waterfront - both being chosen by 20.8% of voters.
Finally we asked readers what their favourite type of event was this summer season - sporting, music, cultural, charitable, art/heritage or social.
Storming in front is music, which was selected by 33.3% of 54 responders.
Thousands of people attended the 26th Ipswich Music Day in Christchurch Park in June - and this year a record-breaking number of artists and musicians applied to take part.
Around 18% of voters enjoyed charitable events the most.
