A reunion for former pupils of Claydon High School has been deemed a “resounding success”.
Around 80 people from the class of 1982, including 90-year-old headteacher Geoffrey Chapman, attended the event at Loraine Victory Hall in Bramford last month.
Hayley Brock, of Claydon School Reunion Committee, said: “It was great catching up with old friends and we also enjoyed a ballroom dancing demonstration from the Lait School of Dance.”
Almost £350 was raised for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices through a raffle, donations and entrance money.
Visitors travelled from as far as France to make it to the reunion, which was nicknamed the Nifty Fifties.
