Dance-lovers still have a last chance to snap up tickets to the charity performance by Royal Ballet Company at the Ipswich Regent in September.
There are just 250 of the 3,000 tickets left for the two performances on September 10 and 11 which stars local dancer Gary Avis and his hosted by Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke
The performances will be on the Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
All profits from these performances, hopefully around £100,000, will be donated to Suffolk Community Foundation and its work to support more than 5,000 charities and community groups in Suffolk.
Tim Holder from the charity said everyone was delighted about how well the tickets had gone and that it should make a huge difference to its work.
“But there are still a few tickets left and I know there are a lot of people who would love to be able to see this kind of performance in their home town,” he said.
Gary Avis promises “something for everyone” including iconic pas de deux from Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker to spectacular modern classics by Wayne McGregor, Liam Scarlett, William Tuckett and Christopher Wheeldon.
The Royal Ballet cast includes Luca Acri, Matthew Ball, Lukas Bjorneboe Braendsrod, Beatriz Stix-Brunell, Alexander Campbell and Reece Clarke.
Tickets cost £24, £33, £48 and £70 and there is £3 off the top two prices (not boxes) for concessions. More details about the show can be found here
