A community garden’s eighth annual fun day has been hailed a success with more people than ever taking part.
More than 500 visitors made their way to The People’s Community Garden in Ipswich on Saturday to enjoy a range of activities, including circus skills, face painting, pond-dipping and a tombola.
The event was organised by and raising money for ActivGardens, which is part of Suffolk charity ActivLives.
Susannah Robirosa, development manager of ActivGardens, said: “It was an amazing turnout and we are delighted with how it went.”
The garden, in Halifax Road, brings together people of all ages to maintain and develop the green space.
