An Ipswich teenager must pay £205 after being caught in possession of £10 of amphetamine while trying to get into a nightclub.
Michal Zilski, 19, of Bramford Road, pleaded guilty at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court to possessing the Class B drug on March 12.
Prosecutor Colette Harper said a doorman at Unit 17 in Cardinal Park was searching people as they were going into the nightspot.
Zilski emptied his pockets and in his wallet was the amphetamine.
The court heard he confirmed it was amphetamine and said he had bought it earlier in the day for £10.
Zilski added it was for personal use. He told police he was an occasional user of the drug.
Magistrates fined the recycling worker £10. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 to the victims’ fund.
