A 33-year-old provisional licence holder who moved his father’s car because of a neighbourhood parking dispute has admitted taking a vehicle without consent.
Mark Bell, of Kelly Road, Ipswich, also admitted driving without insurance and not in accordance with a licence, when he appeared before South East Suffolk Magistrates Court.
The offence occurred on February 10.
The court heard Bell had been seen by a police officer after the officer reported him for the same offences the previous day.
Bell, who only moved the car a short distance, was fined a total of £200 and had six points put on his licence.
