A troupe of young dancers have been scouted as contenders for Britain’s Got Talent while auditioning for Ipswich’s own version of the showcase.
The Cheeky Monkeys is made up of seven children, all aged eight, who perform a mixture of Irish dancing, street dancing, contemporary and gymnastics.
The youngsters have made it through to the final of Ipswich Has Got Talent, and while dancing in the semi-final of the competition in July the group was asked to audition for the ITV show.
Dance coach Harriet Snook said the children were “overwhelmed”.
The group has sent its audition video to the show’s producers.
