The businessman behind a £1 purchase of a council-owned Suffolk theatre has insisted his bid to revive the venue will succeed, after fresh questions were raised over the deal.
Ray Anderson, director with NRG Theatres Ltd, which bought Felixstowe’s Spa Pavilion from Suffolk Coastal District Council last month, has responded to concerns raised about the deal in an exclusive interview published today.
Part one of our investigation revealed yesterday that NRG has been rated as financially “high risk” in a publicly available credit report, prompting calls for the council to hold an “urgent inquiry” into its decision.
We submitted a number of questions to Mr Anderson concerning his plans for the Spa Pavilion. He chose to ignore several of those and instead respond by issuing a self-penned question and answer interview.
