A summer fete at Dale Hall Community Primary school raised more than £2,000 towards new outdoor play equipment.

Fairground rides, a police car and fire engine and family games all featured at event.

Carol Cadwallender, co-chairman of the school PTA, said: “There was a brilliant atmosphere, it was really lovely.

“The weather was rotten but no-one complained, and to raise as much as we did was fantastic.”
