Dozens of youngsters in Ipswich have been getting into the Easter spirit with the Egg-stravaganza event this week.
Held at Ipswich Museum, the drop in event, which ran on Tuesday and Wednesday, saw excited children enjoying the Easter holidays with craft, history and science activities.
Visitors of all ages experienced hands-on projects including colouring, drawing and archaeological activities, as well as storytelling sessions and exhibits at the museum.
Helping make the day memorable, were representatives from the RSPB, Suffolk Wildlife Trust and Geo-Suffolk.
Collections and learning curator Melanie Hollis said “The buzz in the museums during school holidays is very rewarding, and helping visitors of all ages to look at the collections in new and interesting ways is something the museum service takes great pride in.
“We really hope events like this highlight how fantastic the local museums are, and that people are inspired to visit again and again all year round with a thirst for exploring and discovering more.”
The Egg-stravaganza event is one of a number of Easter holiday events taking place across the week at Ipswich Museum, Christchurch Mansion and Ipswich Art School Gallery, including the Emotions art event and clay paperweight making.
