Crown Pools in Ipswich has re-opened after a suspected gas or electrical fault forced it to close this morning.
The venue was closed for around two hours while an investigation was carried out to establish why the alarm had been activated.
Ipswich Borough Council announced earlier in the morning that a suspected gas or electrical fault might have caused the closure.
The borough council has since confirmed that Crown Pools has now re-opened after safety checks were carried out.
An Ipswich Borough Council spokesman said: “Ipswich’s Crown Pools has now re-opened after safety checks completed.”
The spokesman said that it was not known what caused the alarm to activate, but indicated it was most likely an electrical fault.
