A photograph of the men who kept order in Ipswich during the 1926 General Strike is to go under the hammer at auction.
The camera captured the ranks and reservists of the Borough Police squad on the town hall steps.
The rare surviving picture goes up for auction at Lockdales of Martlesham on March 21.
The guide price is between £20 and £30. Auction manager James Sadler said: “There are no names, but the faces are easily identified. It would make interesting research for a local historian.”
If you recognise any of the officers in the photograph write in to EADT/Ipswich Star Newsdesk, 30 Lower Brook Street, Ipswich, IP4 1AN.
