Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen following a burglary at a home in Ipswich.
Entry to the property, in Woodbridge Road East, appears to have been gained via an insecure window between 12.55pm and 5.05pm yesterday.
A search was made of the home before cash and the jewellery was stolen.
Among the items taken were two ladies Omega watches, one gold and platinum with diamonds around a circular face, the other with a square face and burgundy strap, a gold and aquamarine brooch, a gold topaz and pearl brooch and a large pearl necklace.
An antique gold and emerald stone engagement ring, a platinum eternity ring with diamond cluster, two sets of pearl earrings and three gold rings with diamond stones were also stolen.
Detectives investigating the burglary would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area yesterday afternoon who saw anything unusual or anyone who may have been offered any similar items of jewellery since.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Dc Michael Florey at Ipswich CID on 101, quoting reference IE/15/636 or to call Crimestoppers, anonymously if required, on 0800 555 111.
