A 52-year-old man has been charged in connection with damage to two police vehicles and an ambulance in Ipswich overnight.
Brett Cayzer, 52, of no fixed abode was arrested in Burrell Road at about 12.40am today while the emergency services were responding to reports of an assault.
Cayzer was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, and subsequently charged on three counts of criminal damage to two police cars and one paramedic vehicle.
The damage caused to the paramedic rapid response vehicle will cost around £450 to repair.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: “Officers who were in the area dealing with an earlier incident heard noises in the street and discovered three vehicles, an ambulance and two police cars had sustained damage.
“A 52-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray and criminal damage to motor vehicles.”
The man is currently being questioned at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
