A house had to be evacuated today after an unexploded bomb was found in a garden shed in Ipswich.
Bomb disposal experts were called to the property in Cowper Street and a controlled explosion was carried out at about 4.40pm today, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.
The device was thought to be a Second World War bomb measuring around 18 inches, the force spokesman added.
No damage was caused in the controlled explosion which forced the evacuation of at least one property in the area, police said.
A section of the road was reportedly cordoned off during the incident.
