Drivers are facing up to 20 minute delays and long queues after the A14 was closed near Bury St Edmunds following a broken down vehicle.
The A14 westbound between junctions 43 and 38 was closed in the early hours of this morning while overrunning roadworks were carried out.
All lanes have now reopened and according to Highways England "delays are clearing rapidly".
The road was closed due to overrunning roadworks following a broken down works vehicle approaching Bury St Edmunds.
Highways England deployed resources to restore the normal conditions ahead of rush hour traffic.
