Emergency services carried out a simulated two-car collision as part of a training exercise last week.
On Thursday, November 8 an operational assurance exercise was carried out at West Suffolk College by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, working with the East of England Ambulance Trust.
The exercise was designed to enable joint learning between both services.
It centred around a fake two-car road traffic collision with three casualties with the college’s engineering and mechanical department assisting with the staging and simulation of the collision.
Its media department also filmed the exercise to be used for training purposes.
Multiple ambulances as well as fire engines from Clare, Haverhill, Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds Fire Stations participated.
Dr Andy Mason, from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service, was also in attendance to provide clinical advice.
Suffolk Fire gave thanks to West Suffolk College who regularly support such events.
See this tweet from Suffolk Fire, which contains a clip of the exercise.
