A motorcyclist suffered two broken legs after crashing through a central reservation ending up in the opposite carriageway.
Essex Police said the crash happened in Southway, Colchester, at around 4.10am on Friday.
The rider of a red Honda 125cc motorcycle was travelling towards Lexden when their bike left the road and came to rest in the opposite carriageway.
“The rider sustained two broken legs and was taken to hospital for treatment,” an Essex Police spokesman said.
Anyone who saw the accident, including other drivers with dash cam footage, are asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 98 of October 5.
