Traffic is reported to be building in north west Ipswich after a driver allegedly hit another vehicle, fled the scene and left their vehicle blocking the road.
Suffolk police received reports of a collision in Chevallier Street, between Norwich Road and Bramford Road, at around 7.30pm.
“Someone has driven into a car and is no longer on the scene,” a police spokesman added.
A member of the public who saw the crash said the driver’s car had been left in the middle of the road and was causing traffic to back up in the area.
Police units are on the scene.
