A group of would-be burglars attempted to kick down the door and smash the window of a Saxmundham shop before fleeing the scene empty handed.
The incident happened at around 3.15am on Tuesday, September 11 on the Market Place in Saxmundham.
The suspects attempted to kick the door of the business premises, Saxon Wines, damaging it in the process.
They also used a hammer to smash the front door and window to the shop.
No entry was gained and nothing was stolen.
Anyone who saw the incident, heard any strange sounds around that time, or has any further information that may help should contact Suffolk Constabulary on 101, quoting crime reference 37/52052/18.
