Baby remembrance services are being held in Ipswich and Colchester to mark National Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Families who have lost a baby in pregnancy, or around the time of giving birth, are invited to join the services.
The services are being held on Thursday, October 11, at The Ark Methodist Church in Colchester, from 7.30pm, and on Sunday, October 14, at St Michael and All Angels’ Church in Martlesham Heath from 3pm. They will include prayers, music and the chance for parents to light a candle in memory of their baby.
Allison Cline-Dean, Colchester Hospital’s lead chaplain said: “Families can join together so their baby can be remembered and we can support each other in the journey of loss.”
The services will be open to all who have been affected by the loss of a baby, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters.
