Essex Police has shown its support for the LGBT+ community by adding the rainbow flag to its crest for the day.
The force added the flag to its insignia on Facebook this morning as up to a million people are expected to attend Pride in London.
Essex Police has its own network to support equality and diversity within the force and LGBT+ community when interacting with the service.
In February, it supported LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) History Month, when Matt Forrester-Shaw, member of LGBT policing equality groups, said: “Essex boasts a highly diverse culture and we are committed to supporting our communities equally.”
