A 17-year-old boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident in Witham.
The boy, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, was due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, June 27.
He was charged after Essex Police received reports that a man had been assaulted in Newland Street on Saturday, June 16, just before 1.30am.
Daniel Stephens, 22, of Calamint Road, Witham, was initially charged with actual bodily harm and he appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 20.
He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Wednesday, July 18.
