A man will appear in court tomorrow charged with multiple driving offences and assaulting a police officer following a crash in Colchester.
Ben Moisey, 32, will stand in Colchester Magistrates’ Court in connection with an incident in Lexden Road on Friday, June 8 in which a van was said to have collided with three police cars, a parked car, a bus and a post box.
Moisey, of Ilex Close, Colchester, is accused of several crimes, including driving dangerous, failing to stop when required, driving without insurance or an MOT, failing to provide a specimen, assaulting a constable and criminal damage.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of his court appearance.
A 35-year-old woman, also arrested in connection with the incident, has been released with no further action.
