A summit has been held at Westminster to discuss the future of broadband and mobile connectivity in Suffolk.
The meeting brought together leaders at BT, Openreach, Suffolk County Council and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce with MPs Jo Churchill and secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport, Matt Hancock MP.
Mrs Churchill called for a working group to set up to help achieve 100% coverage in Suffolk. Currently around 92% broadband coverage is available across the county.
The meeting discussed options including the use of church spires to deliver mobile and broadband masts and how farm land could be utilised.
Mrs Churchill said: “This is no small task but our resolve is clear. That is why I have called for a working group to be established from the Summit, to ensure, together, we are hitting targets and, above all, communicating progress to local residents.”
