Emergency services were called to reports of a car in a river in Suffolk.
Suffolk police said officers were called at around 7am with concerns raised about the driver of a car in Walberswick.
Police and coastguard officers were sent to the scene.
A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said: “The car was quickly located on the mud beside the main river channel and after a search of the area involving both police and coastguard, the driver was found a short time later.
“The man is now being treated in hospital but is understood not to have been seriously injured as a result of the incident.”
