The Bramford Girl Guides are looking for members past and present to join them for a special celebration next month.

This year marks the centenary of the group. who were set up in January 1918.

To recognise this occasion the guides will be hosting high tea for those who have been involved with the group over the years on the 19th May from 2-4pm.

Bridget Jackaman from the group said: “They will be waited on by the present guides.

“We will have a little tea party.”

In its 100 year history the section have only had five leaders. This history will also be on show during the afternoon as the group opens up its archives including a letter from former chief guide Olave Baden - Powell,
