Police believe two missing girls may be together on the Essex coast.
Essex Police said the search for missing 14-year-old Auguste Skuodyde, from Waltham Abbey, was being carried out in Clacton.
Auguste, who was reported missing on Tuesday is thought to have travelled to the seaside town with her friend Olivia Orr, 14, from Broxbourne in Hertforshire.
“We are working closely with Hertfordshire Police to locate the girls,” a spokesman for Essex police said.
Auguste has been described as white, 6ft tall, of medium build, with shoulder-length purple coloured hair.
When she was last seen she was wearing a white top with a pink logo on, bright blue jeans, and cream coloured shoes.
Olivia is described as white, 5ft 5in and of medium build with long dark brown hair, possibly in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing black trousers, a black top, black trainers and a cream coat with a fur trimmed hood.
Anyone with information is asked to call either Essex or Hertfordshire Police on 101.
