A charity fly-fishing event held at South Elmham lakes for the fifth year running has raised over £2,000 for a children’s hospice charity.
The fundraiser, which took place under sunny skies, was organised in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Two representatives from EACH attended the event, where they were presented with a cheque for the donation.
Natasha Brame, EACH Suffolk Community Fundraiser, said: “We’re so grateful to Stephen Lambert and his friends for continuing to support EACH year after year with a hugely successful fly fishing competition. Everyone thoroughly enjoys the day and they continue to raise thousands of pounds for EACH. Their amazing support helps us to continue delivering our vital care and support to life-threatened children, young people and their families.”
Mr Lambert wanted to pay special thanks to Stephen Kerridge, owner of Kerridges garage in Needham Market, for sponsoring the event.
Thanks also went to Steven Coot, who helped organise the day.
