A pupil of Debenham High School has had his hair cut off for charity.
Stanley Anness, who lives in Stonham Aspal, has had his hair chopped and shaved for the Little Princess Trust.
The 16-year-old braved the shave on April 4, at the hairdressers he has been going to since he was a baby, Capelli’s in Ipswich.
He said: I spent ages trying to grow it - before yesterday the last time I had it cut was six months ago and that was just a trim. It was so easy and quick to do and makes such a big difference to someone’s life, my hair will grow back so why not do it.”
Gillian Allard, Stanley’s mum, described Stanley as having a ‘very sweet nature.’ She said: “I was surprised when he said he wanted to do it because he had spent so long trying to grow it, but he is a very kind hearted person so he thought he would.”
Stanley added: I have raised £222 so far and will be sending the hair off this afternoon, the Little Princess Trust will then combine my hair with someone else’s to make a wig for someone who has cancer or other illnesses.”
