Young engineering enthusiasts at a Suffolk school have been brushing up their skills as part of a nationwide competition.
The children from Trimley St Martin Primary School were taking part in the primary and secondary engineers leaders award, which saw the whole school come together to imagine an engineering design that would benefit other people.
In order to gain further insight into the world of engineering the school called on Ipswich mechanical engineering specialists the DPL Group to help out with a few ideas.
Mechanical project engineer Michael Hadley and electrical project engineer Lewis Brown visited the school in Kirton Road last week to take part in a question and answer session and to share drawings of the group’s latest projects, which include work on a scheme at the world famous Tower Bridge in London and also the new Easy Hotel being developed in Ipswich.
