This week, Suffolk’s singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has been awarded a Brit Award for ‘Global Success’. Ed was presented with a Brit award by Rolling Stones legend, Ronnie Wood, who said he was a ‘prolific songwriter’ who is ‘doing England proud’.
On accepting the award, Ed said: “The global success really comes from all the record labels and people who work so hard all over the world.”
Ed, who attended Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, proudly performed his song Supermarket Flowers on the stage at London’s O2 arena.
In other news to hit the region, forecasts suggest snow showers are approaching Suffolk and Essex from Tuesday to Saturday next week with temperatures set to dip as low as -6C in the early mornings and evenings of Wednesday and Thursday.
