Young visitors to a Suffolk castle have been stepping back in time this week to experience life as chivalrous knights or a perfect princesses.
Framlingham Castle has been transformed for half-term to give children a chance to learn from courtly experts about heroic sword-fighting skills and eloquent etiquette.
Each afternoon sees the young warriors battle chance to put their newly acquired talents to the test.
English Heritage’s Rebecca Hornby said: “For those looking for something different to do with the children this half term, Knights and Princesses is something fun which they can enjoy, so come along and join us for a great day out.”
The castle is also hosting the Early Man Trail this week to celebrate the release of Nick Park’s film Early Man, which tells of how plucky caveman Dug, played by Eddie Redmayne unites his tribe against Lord Nooth, played by Tom Hiddleston, to save their home.
