The trial of a Suffolk man accused of sexually assaulting a schoolgirl will take place in April next year.

Before Ipswich Crown Court today, Wednesday November 1, for a plea and trial preparation hearing was Adrian Cain, 51.

Cain, of Northgate, Lowestoft, pleaded not guilty to six offences of indecent assault.

He also denied three charges of indecency with a child.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1995 and 1997.

They occurred when the alleged victim was aged under 14.

The case was adjourned for a trial, expected to last between five and seven days, which will take place on April 30 next year.
