A Suffolk man who fired an imitation gun out of a van window will be sentenced in January after a further medical report has been prepared on him.
Before Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing was Henry Gaskin, 34, who is currently living at St Clements House, Ipswich.
He pleaded guilty to a string offences on March 10 including criminal damage to a VW Golf, possessing a lock knife in Stowmarket, possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, dangerous driving in a Ford Transit van, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. The case was adjourned until January 16 for further medical report.
Judge Martyn Levett told Gaskin the sentencing judge would have to consider whether or not to make him the subject of a hospital order under the Mental Health Act.
Gaskin will continue to be detained under the Mental Health Act until the hearing.
