A pedestrian was taken to hospital with leg injuries following a collision with a car on a west Suffolk road last night.

The incident took place on the B1112 near Eriswell just after 6pm, and a man was treated at the scene for leg injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

A spokesman for the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) charity said: “A volunteer critical care team from SARS were mobilised to assist a patient who had been involved in a collision with a car on the B1112 near Eriswell yesterday evening.

“The incident occurred at around 6.04pm.

“The SARS team assessed and treated a male patient, in his twenties, at the scene for leg injuries.

“He was later accompanied by the SARS team via land ambulance to hospital where his injuries were believed to be non-life threatening.”

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the road was closed for just over an hour and reopened at 7.11pm.
