Dozens of pairs of football boots from players in Suffolk have been donated to aspiring players in Africa as part of a charity drive.
The Suffolk FA partnered with Boots2Africa during the recent Love Football, Live Football week asking for unwanted boots from Suffolk footballers.
Boot banks were placed across the county for three weeks in October, with dozens from Suffolk joining the 3,500 collected in the first year.
Donations included more than 60 pairs of boots from Little Oakley FC and bags of kit from Haughley United, Stowmarket Town Youth and Walsham-le-Willows Youth.
Iain Finch, who co-founded Boots2Africa and runs the small family charity-registered organisation near Colchester, said: “We have received so many pairs of boots – and kits – which is fabulous.
“We are very grateful to the Suffolk public for supporting us through making these donations.”
