Police investigating the disappearance of missing airman Corrie McKeague have identified another person in a CCTV image issued to the public, but have confirmed he has been unable to assist in their investigation.
As part of Suffolk police’s renewed appeal one year on, officers issued CCTV images of people seen in the area on the night of Corrie’s disappearance on September 23 last year in Bury St Edmunds.
Officers hoped they may be able to help provide information. A number had already been identified earlier in the week.
Police last night confirmed a man in one of the CCTV images had come forward, but was unable to help officers as part of their investigation.
On Tuesday officers said a search of a landfill site in Cambridgeshire, where it is believed he may have been carried to in a bin lorry, would resume following a 20-week search earlier this year.
