A driver was rescued from their vehicle following a two-vehicle collision in Newton near Sudbury this morning.
Police were called today just before 7am to reports of the crash on the A134.
A police spokesman said the fire service had also attended following reports that a person was trapped in their vehicle.
He said the driver of one of the vehicles had been taken to hospital.
A fire spokeswoman said two fire engines, one from Sudbury and one from Long Melford , attended and helped free a driver from their vehicle after they were assessed by paramedics.
There were reported traffic delays in the area at the time of the collision but the road has now been fully reopened.
Highways have been called as there were reports of an oil spillage in the road.
