Goredema also allegedly told the woman: “When a black man and a white woman make love it’s like an explosion”, and “Once you go black you don’t go back”.

He also allegedly said his middle name was “Anytime” and said he’d be there anytime she needed him, said Matthew Sorel-Cameron, prosecuting.

Goredema, 44, of Alexandra Avenue, Great Yarmouth, has denied sexually assaulting the woman on November 28 last year.

The court heard that following his arrest Goredema denied sexually assaulting the woman and described his visit to her house as “routine and innocuous”.

Giving evidence, the woman said Goredema had visited her house to change a panel on her tumble dryer as the result of her model being recalled because of fire safety fears.

While there he had asked if she had a shower head he could use to clean part of the dryer and while they were in the bathroom he had allegedly suggested they had a shower together.

“I stayed quiet as I was shocked and felt uncomfortable,” said the woman.

She claimed that during the alleged incident Goredema took hold of her arm and whispered in her ear: “When a black man makes love to a white woman it is like an explosion.”

“I was very uncomfortable. It wasn’t something I expected to hear from an engineer,” she said.

She claimed Goredema had also made the comment: “Once you’ve had black you don’t go back” before allegedly putting her hand on his chest to feel his heart beating.

During the alleged incident the woman had texted a friend about what was allegedly happening and told her she had never felt so uncomfortable in her life.

Before leaving Goredema had allegedly hugged the woman and squeezed her bottom “firmly”.

Giving evidence the woman claimed she always kept her front door unlocked during the day when she was at home but noticed that Goredema had locked it while he was at her house.
