High school pupils took advantage of the magnificent surroundings at a local 16th century moated manor for their summer concert.
Debenham High School’s annual production took place at nearby Crow’s Hall, where parents, carers, family and friends enjoyed a picnic in the grounds, as they listened to music and watched the lower school perform The Tempest in a restored Tudor barn.
Younger pupils explored themes of power, revenge, sibling rivalry, colonialism and deceit – with some laughs along the way.
With delivery ‘in the round’ the pupils, tested their theatrical skills under direction from drama teacher Max Hardcastle.
Headteacher Julia Upton said: “We say farewell this year to a group of very talented musicians in Year 11, but there are many more in the wings ready to take the stage in the years to come.”
The school thanked Caroline Spurrier for her generous welcome, and use of the grounds for two evenings.
