Fright night fun comes to Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft this weekend as we celebrate Halloween - with the actual scare-fest taking place on Monday, October 31.

And don’t forget the clocks go back on Saturday night, meaning you get an hour’s extra partying.

Here we list seven Halloween parties taking place this week, so grab your broomstick and have a fright of a night out.

Thriller Weekend at Carbon, Stowmarket - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 28 to 30

Carbon is hosting a whole weekend of Halloween capers, sarting with Freaky Friday with free entry from 10pm to 4am and a free spooky Sourz punch for the first 100 customers.

Saturday’s fright night runs from 11pm to 4am and entry is £3 before midnight. And on Sunday, it is Halloween karaoke with Scaryoke, from 8.30pm to midnight.

Kraken at Vodka Revolution, Ipswich - Friday, October 28

It is the return of Kraken with killer cocktails, and spooktacular fun at this lively town centre nightspot.

You can create your own blood chilling cocktails, sample some of the bar staff’s favourites and enjoy 2-4-1 on the cocktails.

And those who register in advance can get a free Tropi-killer cocktail.

Spooky Halloween Party at The Hangar, Milsoms Kesgrave Hall - Friday, October 28

Expect spooky lighting, music and atmospherics at this special aprty night, with Halloween themed food and fun.

Fancy dress is optional, but enocuraged!

Guests will get a glass of spooky fizz on arrival, a three-course meal and coffee included in the £50 entry free.

Halloween Kizomba at Moreton Hall Health Club, Bury St Edmunds - Saturday, October 29

Halloween Kizomba comes to Suffolk for the first time with DJ MRG, founder of Kizomba Suffolk.

This promises to be a night full of surprises and will incorporate salsa, kizomba and bachata.

Tickets cost £7.

Zombie Fest, Mildenhall Stadium - Saturday, 6pm

Twelve hours of Halloween fun with over 50 international acts and DJs.

Jaguar Skills, Ratpack and Frankee will all be staring at this massive night out. Tickets are £35 and available on the door.

East Anglian Ghost stories, Moyse’s Hall Museum, Bury St Edmunds - Saturday, 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Hear local East Anglian ghost stories in the comfort of a candlelit passageway of Moyse’s Hall, and you may even enocunter some of the museum’s resident spooks.

Some stories will likely be familiar, while others you’ll hear for the first time.

Tickets cost £10 per person and include nibbles and a glass of port.

Book a Ghost Tour around Bury St Edmunds with Medieval World - any evening

What better time than Halloween to hear about the spooky happenings in days gone by?

Medieval World hosts guided tours around the town, each lasting around an hour and a half.

They can been booked for groups of up to 25, at a cost of £4 per person with a minimum charge of £36. Discounts available for larger groups.

Scaresville at kentwell Hall, near Sudbury - until November 5

Scaresville is a haunted village which mysteriously appears in the grounds of Kentwell Hall inevery autumn. It is one of Britain’s top scare attractions and has been running for 10 years.

You will enjoy - or endure - up to an hour and a half of pure adrenaline as you journey through dark rooms, forests and open farmland. There is no let up; no ‘safe’ zones in which to recover; no trailer-rides. By the time you leave, you will be exhausted from screaming and laughing so much.
